- When the time has come to change the old chain, you need to determine the number of chain links for the chain. The length of the worn bicycle chain will be considerably extended during its lifetime, so and old chain of the same length will have a different number of chain links.
- T is not sufficient to just measure the length of the chain, much better is to replace with exactly the same number of chain links.
- Compatible with bicycle chain width from BMX (single speed) up to 12-speed
- Incl. paintstick to mark the chain link
- How it works:
- 1. put the chain link counter on the chain and set zero
- 2. mark chain link next to the counter
- 3. rotate the chain one full round, ending with the marked chain link on the same spot
- 4. read the number of chain links
- 5. use chain link counter to measure the chain (new chain with the same number of links will be shorter than the old worn one)
